MANCHESTER, United Kingdom, April 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Manchester United midfielder and Vice-captain Michael Carrick put his renowned passing skills to the test this week as he took part in the Swissquote Forex Four challenge.
The England international, who has made over 400 appearances for the club, took on his Dutch international teammate Daley Blind in the Swissquote 'Forex Four' challenge which put the players' decision-making, tactical and passing skills to the test.
The 'Forex Four' challenge follows on from the 'Red Zone' challenges, designed by Swissquote to test members of the Manchester United squad including David De Gea, Chris Smalling, Jesse Lingard and Morgan Schneiderlin over the course of the 2015/16 season in a series of skill based trials that examine the players' decision making skills under pressure.
Speaking about the Swissquote 'Forex Four' challenge, Carrick said:
"I enjoyed the challenge, although I'm not sure if Daley did. It's a lot harder than it looks, it takes all day to get one token on the board never mind four!"
Blind on the other hand was clearly disappointed to lose out to his teammate:
"I don't think I enjoyed it as much as Michael because unfortunately he won, but congratulations to him. It's really difficult and sometimes you just have to take a shot and hope it goes in."
Marc Burki, CEO and Co-Founder of Swissquote, Manchester United's first Official Global Forex & Online Financial Trading Partner added:
"At Swissquote we take pride in our tactical approach, providing quality expertise and advice which enables our clients to make the best possible decisions to stay one step ahead in the fast-paced and ever-changing world of Forex trading."
